The doll was issued in celebration of the Diamond Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth ascension to the throne on June 2nd, 1953. ” Her gown is a magnificent re-creation in rich damask, and her replica Purple Robe of Estate is trimmed with the Queen’s Royal Cypher.
