7 ” Cloth Contemporary Japanese Artist, Kusama Yayoi.   The doll is adapted from or inspired by a work in the Hirshhorn Musuem.  Ms. Yayoi is an artists who works in sculpture and installations based  on conceptual art. She is recognized as the most important living Japanese artist and she is the world’s top selling woman artist. The doll was handmade by talented artisans in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. This co-op helps empower women and reduces global poverty and supports fair trade.  I received the doll as as a 2024 Christmas gift from Lynn Brannon.
